Went on a short getaway with my boyfriend and friends to Kota Kinabalu over the long Good Friday weekend! This hotel is one of the newest hotels in town (at least as of writing)!
Location
Located right in the heart of Kota Kinabalu (they don’t call it Kota Kinabalu City Centre for no reason!), it’s very convenient to travel about from here! We usually took a Grab around since it’s pretty affordable there (compared to SG) and we had 4-6 pax travelling about.
Getting there / Lobby / Hotel Entrance
We took a Grab from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) which costed us about MYR18 and was a 15mins journey.
The hotel entrance is also wheelchair-accessible a ramp in place. If you have plenty of baggage, there are luggage trolleys available for your use (and ngl they are exactly like the ones at the airports 😆)

The View
We had the… not-city view from our room so all we could see were the greenery (nature view? 😆)

But if you’re lucky enough to get the city-view, you’ll be able to watch planes enroute to land at KKIA!
The Room
We had the 1 Queen Bed Standard Room, which was quite spacious and had a lounge chair next to the window with a small coffee table. There’s also a long table stretching across, which serves as the vanity table and study desk as well.

Bathroom
Spacious shower area that is barrier free and with only one door that can swing to lock either only the shower area, or the entire bathroom as a whole. The hairdryer can be found affixed to the wall next to the vanity sink, where the dental kit, shower cap, sanitary bag can be found.

Amenities
The safe deposit box is located in the closet, along with the bag for paid laundry service, hangers, ironing board and iron set.

Next to the closet would be the coffee/tea-making area where you can find the minibar, kettle, tea bags, and instant coffee.

Gym / Pool
There is a small gym located at Level One, with basic facilities such as treadmills, dumbbells and a boxing machine.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served at the lobby cafe at Level One, from 6.30am to 10.30am. Dishes served are halal and includes local favourites such as Nasi Lemak. The humble buffet breakfast also has pastries, a bread station, other cooked food (including scrambled eggs and chicken sausages), dessert (including kuehs) and fruits. Coffee and tea are freeflow and self-service from the coffee machine and tea area.

Other random recallable stuff
There is also a small bar behind the lobby cafe, where once you cross that glass door it’s considered as the non-halal area. The bar has a small indoor seating area with a large outdoor seating area, and they sell mostly alcohol and finger food.
